Heather Bunting

Heather is a non-judgemental, warm and compassionate counsellor who cares about helping people no matter what they bring. I have a keen understanding of family dynamics and find this can be beneficial in helping people make sense of their behaviour and habitual thought processes. I value these words a client once told me, “I trust Heather because she engages objectively and truthfully while being supportive and validating”. I provide counselling to and welcome people of all ages, cultures and family combinations - individuals, couples, families.

As a PACFA qualified supervisor she is  attuned to the needs of the supervisee and am keen to meet those needs. I am mindful of ethical issues. I work with supervisees to reflect on counselling sessions and discuss strategies and interventions for future sessions. We also consider how the session was for you as a counsellor.

As an ACA supervisor, she follows the Rise-Up model (Relationship Based Integrated Supervision & Education to Unlock Potential). This means that as well as providing support and looking at cases, we might talk about counselling-related skills, your evaluation of your own work, administration matters, education matters or business building.
